Net earnings of $26.9 million U.S. or $0.22 U.S. per share on a diluted basis for its second fiscal quarter ended April 1, 2012, compared with net earnings of U.S. $61.7 million or U.S. $0.50 per share in the second quarter of fiscal 2011. The Company had previously projected net earnings of approximately U.S. $0.20 per share for the second quarter, when it reported its first quarter results on February 8, 2012. Gildan Activewear Inc.
