12:20 PM EST - Spectrum Brands Inc. : maker of Rayovac batteries has agreed to sell its Canadian home and garden division to a company formed by a unit of a Toronto-based investment company and Clarke Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Net proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce debt, the company said in a statement. Spectrum Brands Inc.
shares SPC are trading up 0.08 cents at $5.74.
