04:10 PM EST - Rogers Communications : received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to purchase of five TV stations from CTVglobemedia Inc for C$375 million in cash. The Citytv stations in Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver were sold to Rogers in June. The deal came after CTVglobemedia acquired CHUM Ltd., Citytv's previous owner.
