10:27 AM EST - EnCana Corp. : said on Wednesday its third-quarter profit jumped, helped by rising heavy oil prices and strong natural gas production. EnCana, North America's biggest independent petroleum exploration company, said net income rose to $1.36 billion, or $1.65 per share, up from $266 million, or 30 cents in the year earlier period. The operating earnings exceeded expectations of 93 cents per share profit, the average forecast polled by Reuters Estimates. EnCana Corp.
T.ECA are trading down 29 cents at $53.46.
