12:48 PM EST - MDS Inc. : said its Nordion unit, a global provider of medical isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, has signed a 17-year supply contract with Rosenergoatom, operator of Russia's nuclear power plants. The contract expands on a 2005 agreement by providing for an increased supply of cobalt-60 to MDS Nordion until 2024. As a result, MDS Nordion's overall supply will increase by approximately 30 per cent by 2016. MDS Inc.
shares T.MDS are trading down 24 cents at $20.88.
