10:06 AM EST - Nova Chemicals Corp. : has reported a third-quarter profit of US$97 million and issued an optimistic outlook thanks to "strong domestic and export demand and improving margins due to price increases that exceed feedstock cost changes." The U.S.-Canadian commodity chemical and plastics maker said its July-September net income was worth $1.16 per share. This compared with a year-ago net loss of $24 million, 29 cents per share, which included $92 million in restructuring and other one-time costs. Nova Chemicals Corp.
