10:02 AM EST - Suncor Energy Inc. : said on Thursday its third-quarter profit jumped, helped in part by higher oil sands production and stronger commodity prices. Canada's second-largest oil sands producer said it earned $682 million, or $1.48 a share for the quarter, up from year-earlier $315 million, or 69 cents a share. That beat an average estimate of $1.38 a share among analysts surveyed by Reuters Estimates. Suncor Energy Inc.
