10:06 AM EST - Sears Canada : said on Thursday it returned to profit in the third-quarter, helped in part by lower expenses. The retailer said it earned $37.8 million, or 35 cents a share in the quarter ended September 30. That compares with a loss of $37.4 million, or 35 cents a share in the same period a year ago when the company also had one-off charges.
