MEG recorded a net loss of $18.7 million ($0.09 per share, diluted) for the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to net income of $91.1 million ($0.46 per share, diluted) in the fourth quarter of 2011. Fourth-quarter 2012 results included a net foreign exchange loss of $21.1 million, primarily arising from the translation of MEG's U.S. dollar denominated debt and U.S. dollar cash and cash equivalents.
