12:19 PM EST - Rothmans Inc. : reported a lower second-quarter profit on Friday, as a drop in the consumption of tobacco products in Canada hurt the company's results. The company earned $28.3 million, or 41 cents a share, in the quarter ended September 30, down from $30.1 million, or 44 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier. Three analysts polled by Reuters Estimates had expected on average the company to report a profit of 43 cents a share. Rothmans Inc.
T.ROC are trading down 60 cents at $21.20.
