Revenue rose 25 per cent to $6 billion from $4.8 billion, but the bottom line was hit by currency translation losses on U.S. cash and securities, as well as by non-cash charges on the Toronto-based conglomerate's acquisitions of Carestream Health and Allison Transmission.
