01:02 PM EST - Iamgold Corp. : says it will relinquish rights to 3,000 hectares of environmentally important land in Ecuador in return for the government's full support for the company's Quimsacochain project. The Toronto-based company says the land represents 23 percent of Iamgold's total 12,967 hectare holding in the area but contains contains no resources, no mineralization or exploration targets.
