09:56 AM EST - Osisko Mining : Wednesday said it has filed a study on the local and regional economic impact of its Canadian Malartic mine in Quebec with the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks, this in accordance with the company’s environmental monitoring plan. The study shows that the Canadian Malartic mine would support nearly 1,600 jobs in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, including 635 direct jobs at the mine site, and would pay $61.6 million in direct wages, with an average salary of $87,000. In addition, it is expected to inject $290 million annually into the economy of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Osisko Mining
