10:24 AM EST - Labopharm Inc. : disclosed that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is sticking to its ruling that the Quebec company has not proven its once-a-day formulation of painkiller tramadol works as indicated. Labopharm said it will appeal to the agency's next higher supervisory level against the decision issued in May in what the FDA calls an approvable letter. Labopharm Inc.
