09:55 AM EST - Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc. : has reported a drop in third-quarter profit to US$6.9 million from $15.9 million last year as the company reduced its revenue guidance for the year. Vancouver-based Angiotech said it earnings from continuing operations amounted to nine cents per diluted share, compared with a year-earlier 19 cents per share. Angiotech, which reports results in US dollars, said total revenue grew to $86.3 million from a year-before $47.9 million. Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc.
