10:48 AM EST - Barrick Gold Corp. : said its third-quarter profit soared to US$405 million from a year-earlier US$113 million as cash flow reached a record high. Earnings for the quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 46 cents a share, compared with 21 cents per share a year ago, the Toronto-based company reported Thursday. Operating cash flow was a record US$805 million, up from $232 million. the firm reports in U.S. dollars. Barrick Gold Corp.
