11:51 AM EST - Ivanhoe Mines : welcomed the positive findings of an independent, preliminary economic assessment of the company's major Platreef Project in the heart of South Africa's Bushveld Complex, the world's premier platinum producing region.. The Platreef Project is a Tier One discovery by Ivanhoe Mines' geologists of platinum-group elements, nickel, copper and gold, which contains the Flatreef underground deposit, on the Bushveld's Northern Limb.
