12:18 PM EST - Bombardier Transportation : has won a firm order for 87 bi-directional trams and options on another 15 from Brussels transit company STIB, the company announced Tuesday. The contract is worth about US$285 million, the Montreal-based firm said in a release. Delivery of the low-floor trams is set to begin in April next year and to be completed by July 2012.
