10:14 AM EST - Aecon Group Inc. : reported a sharp increase in third quarter profits Wednesday, posting record quarterly earnings as improved efficiency and higher-value business offset a drop in sales. The Toronto company said it earned a record $12.8 million or 34 cents a share for the three months ended Sept. 30. That was up from net earnings of $2.1 million or 7 cents for the same period last year. Revenues fell to $316 million from $341 million. Aecon Group Inc.
