10:15 AM EST - EnCana Corp. : is doubling its quarterly dividend to 40 cents a share after fourth-quarter profit rose 63 percent to US$1.08 billion on higher oil and gas production. Earnings for the quarter ended Dec. 31 amounted to $1.43 a share diluted and compared with US$663 million or 82 cents per share a year earlier. The firm reports in U.S. dollars. Analysts' consensus forecast was for earnings of $1.31 a share, before one-time items, according to Thomson Financial. EnCana Corp.
