10:13 AM EST - Penn West Energy Trust : said its fourth-quarter profit rose 3 percent to $127 million before two major acquisitions were completed last month. Net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007, amounted to 52 cents a diluted unit, compared with $122.9 million or 44 cents per unit a year ago, the Calgary-based company said Friday.
