10:17 AM EST - Laurentian Bank of Canada : reported first quarter net income of $19.1 million or $0.68 per common share, compared to $20.6 million or $0.74 per common share, for the first quarter of 2007. Excluding tax adjustments, net income for the first quarter of 2008 increased to $24.7 million or $0.91 per common share, from $19.7 million or $0.70 per common share in the first quarter of 2007. Total revenue for the quarter increased 7% to $151.1 million from $141.6 million for the first quarter of 2007. Laurentian Bank of Canada
