10:05 AM EST - Empire Co Ltd. : said on Tuesday that third-quarter earnings rose 52 percent, helped by same-store results from it Sobeys unit, the No. 2 supermarket chain in Canada. Profit increased to $48.6 million, or 74 cents per share, from $31.9 million, or 49 cents per share, in the same period last year. Empire Co Ltd.
