12:09 PM EST - Iamgold Corp. : reported a big annual loss and lower net profits in the latest quarter as impairment charges helped offset the impact of higher revenues. Iamgold said Friday that it lost $42 million for 2007, reversing a $72.5 million profit in 2006. For the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, the miner had net earnings of US$8.5 million or 3 cents per share, down from $9.4 million or 4 cents a share the previous year. Fourth-quarter revenue rose to US$194.2 million from $121.3 million, boosted by acquisitions, said Iamgold, which reports in U.S. dollars. Iamgold Corp.
