10:35 AM EST - Geovic Mining Corp. : on Friday reported a wider net loss in fiscal 2007, hurt mainly by higher operating expenses, both in Cameroon and in the U.S. The company's fiscal-2007 net loss was US$7.85 million, compared to a net loss of US$6.84 million in the prior year. On a per share basis, net loss was US$ 0.09, wider than US$ 0.16 a year earlier. The company's full-year interest income rose to US$3.24 million from US$ 0.18 million a year ago. Geovic Mining Corp.
