09:56 AM EST - First Quantum Minerals Ltd. : which acquired Adastra Minerals in August, says its third-quarter profit soared 253 percent to US$139.2 million as copper production jumped 23 percent. Earnings for the quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to $2.09 a share and compared with $39.5 million or 64 cents per share a year ago, the Vancouver-based company reported Tuesday. Third-quarter revenue rose 130 percent to $328.4 million. First Quantum Minerals Ltd.
