04:23 PM EST - Bank of Nova Scotia : Canada's third largest bank, agreed on Tuesday to buy the Canadian auto financing unit of Travelers Financial Group, expanding its lending to consumers with weak credit records. While price of the deal for Travelers Leasing Corp. was not disclosed, the unit has $255 million in loans under administration and 150 employees. Larger Canadian banks, flush with cash, but low on expansion opportunities, are increasingly looking at non-traditional lending areas.
