Consolidated net sales of $715.4 million in the second quarter were up $26.5 million or 3.8% compared to the second quarter in 2016. Net earnings amounted to $107.7 million, or $0.48 per share on a diluted basis, compared with net earnings of $94.7 million, or $0.40 per share on a diluted basis for the same period last year.
