09:52 AM EST - Maple Leaf Foods Inc. : said on Thursday it extended its losses in the second quarter as soaring grain and fuel costs hurt its pork and bakery operations while it continues to restructure. Maple Leaf, one of Canada's largest food processors, posted a net loss of $9.35 million, or 7 cents per share, in the quarter ended June 30, compared with a loss of $1.7 million, or 1 cent, a year earlier.
