10:00 AM EST - Rogers Communications Inc. : has reported second-quarter net income of $301 million, up from a year-ago loss of $56 million, as operating revenue grew 11 per cent to $2.8 billion. Canada's biggest cable-TV and cellphone operator said Tuesday its April-June earnings amounted to 47 cents per share, compared with a loss of 9 cents per share in the year-ago period, when operating revenue was $2.52 billion. Rogers said its operating profit improved to $1.09 billion, from $930 million a year earlier. Rogers Communications Inc.
