11:42 AM EST - Abattis Bioceuticals Corp. : Announced the sponsorship of a research study in partnership with Mitacs to explore the development of nanoemulsified and liposomal platforms for transmucosal delivery of cannabinoid-rich hemp oil. The research and development work will be led by scientists from Abattis and the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia. Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 18 years working with 60 universities, thousands of companies, and both federal and provincial governments. In addition to the R&D work on cannabinoid-rich THC-free hemp extracts, scientist from Abattis and UBC’s Faculty of Land and Food Systems will work to create delivery platforms with increased stability and bioavailability.
