04:05 PM EST - Great-West Lifeco Inc. : has more than doubled its second-quarter net earnings to $1.21 billion and increased its dividend by 5 percent. The profit amounted to $1.36 per share and compared to net income of $544 million or 61 cents per share for the same period last year. The latest quarter included three non-recurring items that bolstered the bottom line by $767 million after tax. Great-West Lifeco Inc.
