12:39 PM EST - Transcontinental Inc. : on Tuesday announced it has received a $1.7 billion contract to print the Globe and Mail newspaper in most of its major markets in Canada until 2028. The printing will be done in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Transcontinental said the contract will come into effect when the current printing contracts expire in 2010. shares T.TCL.A are trading up 75 cents at $15.85.
