04:00 PM EST - Abitex Resources Inc. : shares shot up 25 percent Monday after the company said it has signed an agreement to buy into a Quebec uranium property. Abitex said the agreement with Areva Resources Canada and Soquem Inc. is for an option to acquire a 50 percent interest in the ''L'' uranium property in Quebec. The deal sees Abitex issue 2.8 million common shares to both Areva and Soquem. It will also make minimum investments of $20 million on the property and complete a prefeasibility study by Dec. 31, 2011. Abitex Resources Inc.
