09:39 AM EST - MDS Inc. : reported a fourth-quarter profit of $53 million, reversing a year-earlier loss of $48 million. Net income for the quarter ended Oct. 31 amounted to 37 cents a diluted share, contrasting with a loss of 34 cents per share a year ago, the Toronto-based company reported Thursday. Analysts' consensus forecast was for earnings of 16 cents a share, before one-time items, according to Thomson Financial. MDS Inc.
