11:45 AM EST - Tanganyika Oil Co. : reported Friday a third-quarter profit of US$33.1 million, reversing a year-earlier loss of $6.9 million as the company prepares for a takeover by Chinese oil giant Sinopec. Net earnings per share from continuing operations amounted to 53 cents, compared to a loss of 12 cents per share during the same period in 2007. Tanganyika Oil Co.
