10:24 AM EST - TransCanada Corp. : is boosting its natural gas pipeline and storage operations by acquiring ANR Pipeline Co., ANR Storage Co. and an additional 3.55 percent stake in Great Lakes Gas Transmission Ltd. for a total US$3.4 billion. The major pipeline firm said Friday its new purchase will include $457 million of assumed debt. TransCanada Corp.
shares T.TRP are trading down 54 cents at $40.23.
