12:10 PM EST - Western Canadian Coal Corp. : has announced Tuesday plans to reduce operations at its Brule mine and at the Wolverine operation due to rising inventory levels. The Brule mine, which produces low-volatile PCI coal, expects to operate at an annual run rate of approximately 750,000 tones per year effective at the end of January 2009, compared to the current run rate of 1.3 million tones per year.
