12:25 PM EST - Stratic Energy Corp. : said that following a series of operational difficulties, Stratic and its joint venture partner have stopped operations on one of its wells in the British North Sea. The operating problems at well 16/2b-5A in the UK North Sea included an unsuccessful attempt to retrieve drill pipe lost in the hole and other mechanical failures on the drilling rig, the Canadian company said Friday. Stratic's share of the total cost of the well amounted to $19 million. Stratic Energy Corp.
