09:48 AM EST - Corus Entertainment Inc. : announced that its first-quarter net income was $40.63 million or $0.50 per share, compared to $39.39 million or $0.46 per share in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated revenues for the quarter were $216.8 million, up 1% from $214.8 million in the prior year quarter. Looking ahead to fiscal 2009, the company reduced its segment profit guidance to $255.0 million -- $265.0 million from prior guidance of $270.0 million -- $280.0 million. Corus Entertainment Inc.
