10:04 AM EST - Newalta, Inc. : provided an update on its capital expenditures for 2008 and 2009. The Canada-based industrial waste management company's total capital expenditures for 2008 are expected to be $125 million, of which about $105 million is earmarked for growth capital expenditures and close to $20 million for maintenance capital. Further, the company said capital investments in the first half of 2009 will be tightly controlled and are expected to total approximately $15 million, including $10 million for growth capital expenditures and maintenance capital of $5 million.
