10:15 AM EST - TransAlta Corp. : announced that its fourth-quarter net earnings were $94 million or $0.47 per share, compared to $130 million or $0.64 per share in the fourth quarter of 2007. In the fourth quarter 2008, TransAlta reported comparable earnings of $79 million or $0.40 per share, compared to $103 million or $0.51 per share in the fourth quarter 2007. Revenues for the quarter were $808 million, up from $783 million in the year ago quarter. TransAlta Corp.
