11:32 AM EST - Mercer International Inc. : said it finalized energy purchase agreement with BC Hydro for the sale of electricity from its Castlegar mill. As per the terms of the agreement, Mercer will supply a minimum of about 238,000 Megawatt hours of electrical energy annually to BC Hydro over a 10-year term. The deliveries are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2010. In addition, the company announced that it signed agreement with CIT Business Credit Canada Inc. for extension of maturity date of its $40-million revolving term credit facility with CIT from May 19, 2009 to May 19, 2010.
