09:36 AM EST - IAMGOLD Corp. : reported a 3% increase in gold production and issued guidance for 2009 production, costs, development and exploration. The Toronto-based company stated that 997,000 ounces of gold were produced in 2008, a 3% increase over 2007 and exceeding original guidance by 8%. Iamgold anticipates cash costs for 2008 to be below the most recent guidance range of $480 to $490 per ounce of gold and closer to original guidance range of $455 to $470 per ounce, despite a significant increase in input costs for much of the year.
