04:06 PM EST - EGI Financial Holdings Inc. : reported a net loss of $2.3 million or $0.19 per share for the fourth quarter, compared to net income of $3.7 million or $0.35 per share in the previous-year quarter. Net operating income was $3.0 million or $0.24 per share, up from $2.3 million or $0.22 per share in the year-ago quarter. Net written and assumed premiums fell 6.7 per cent to $36.6 million, while net earned premiums grew by 15.8 per cent to $39.5 million for the quarter. In addition, EGI Financial said that its board has declared a dividend increase to $0.07 per share, payable on March 27, 2009 to shareholders of record on March 13, 2009. EGI Financial Holdings Inc.
