Further, the company said it believes the fundamentals of the global agriculture markets to be positive for the mid to longer term.
The Calgary-based company's fourth-quarter net loss totaled $2.65 million U.S. or $0.05 U.S. per share, compared to a net loss of $642.2 thousand U.S. or $0.01 U.S. per share in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly sales dropped to $10.5 million U.S. from the previous year's sales of $13.5 million U.S., primarily due to an unusually late North American harvest, as well as foreign currency impacts internationally.
