11:57 AM EST - SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. : announced that its fourth-quarter net income increased to $75.0 million or $0.49 per share, from $68.7 million or $0.45 per share for the comparable quarter in 2007. Revenues for the fourth quarter 2008 were $1.94 billion, compared to $1.99 billion in the year-ago quarter. In a separate press release, Jacques Lamarre announced that he has decided to pass the baton to his successor on May 7, 2009 after 13 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., and a 42-year career with the Company. Jacques Lamarre joined SNC-Lavalin in 1967 as a young civil engineer. On May 7, 2009, the Board will name Pierre Duhaime as the new President and CEO, and as a Director. SNC-Lavalin Group Inc.
