First-quarter Highlights include a 147.8 g/t Ag head grade, a 29-per-cent increase over Q4 2008 and 98-per-cent increase over Q1 2008. The company experienced record silver production of 384,339 ounces, a 32-per-cent increase over Q4 2008 and 174-per-cent increase over Q1 2008; 6.9 million pounds of Zinc, a six-per-cent increase over Q4 2008 and a 52-per-cent increase over Q1 2008. Fortuna also produced 5.8 million pounds of lead; a five-per-cent increase over Q4 2008 and a 123-per-cent increase over Q1 2008.
