09:51 AM EST - West 49 Inc. : reported fourth-quarter net loss of $8.47 million or $0.13 per basic share, compared to a loss of $1.22 million or $0.02 per basic share in the same quarter of last year. Normalized net income for the quarter was $1.1 million, or $0.02 per share, compared to $2.2 million, or $0.04 per share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008. Net sales increased 3.8 per cent to $64.8 million, from $62.4 million in the year ago quarter. For the quarter, 14-week comparable store sales decreased by 0.5 per cent on a consolidated basis despite comparable store sales growth of 1.3 per cent during the Holiday selling period. The 14-week comparable store sales for the West 49 banner were up 0.3 per cent. West 49 Inc.
