09:51 AM EST - Great-West Lifeco Inc. : has struck a deal to acquire U.S.-based Putnam Investments Trust for $4.6 billion. Winnipeg-based Great-West Lifeco Inc. said Thursday it reached an agreement with Marsh & McLennan Companies to acquire the asset management business of Putnam Investments Trust, while Great-West Life Assurance Co. will acquire Putnam's 25 percent interest in T.H. Lee Partners. Great-West Lifeco Inc.
shares T.GWO are trading down 2 cents at $34.47.
